Healthcare Mobile Apps

With concerns over the Canadian launch of GIOTRIF due to the unfavourable adverse events (AEs) profile, our team created a patient first approach.

In collaborating with patients, KOLs, nurses, and allied health care professionals, a patient focused approach that extended beyond the medication and the financial component was discovered.

Our team proactively worked to mitigate the frequency of severe AEs by creating an armamentarium of tools to bring treatment directly to the patient on day one, including: a mail order system for GIOTRIF, in-home nurse visitation, a patient mobile app, an HCP diagnostic app, and creative branding and trademarking.

As the creative lead, I led the team in the development of branding and execution of tools that have been historically disjointed in print, to a single omni-channel experience for the patient right from diagnosis with the HCP diagnostic app to management of their disease using a mobile patient app.

Diagnostic App

Allowed physicians to educate their patients on their diagnosis, but also provided the ability to email a PDF to a receptionist and patient at the end of the consultation.

Patient Mobile App

Leveraged the capabilities of a smartphone, empowering patients to track their symptoms, create reminders for medication, set calendar events for appointments, and facilitated discussions with their physician.

GIOTRIF was successfully launched in 2013 with the Head Start Program, receiving the 2015 Prix Galien Award and Digital Health Awards in the spring of 2016.
